Brett is Featured Guest at Saline County Lincoln Days – July 2nd, 2026

On July 2, 2026, with one month and two days to go in the primary election, Brett was a featured guest at the Saline County Lincoln Days. Brett met with the Saline County Republican Committee for a two hour meeting to discuss local issues and become acquainted with the local problems faced in Marshall due to shortages of doctors, lawyers, and other professional personnel and the lack of young people wanting to stay in small towns in the U.S. These are serious concerns that must be faced while there is still time and Brett has several ideas to help attract professionals to the area. One of these is his idea to create Docs for America, a program which would forgive some medical school loans if physicians would commit to moving to rural towns to live for a period of between 5 and 10 years at the outset of their careers. Brett thoroughly enjoyed the discussions and hopes to stay in close contact with the committee members and local officials in the years to come to help them work toward advancing the fixes for shortfalls they face.
Brett was also the featured guest at the Lincoln dinner in the evening. His photograph was featured at the front of the banquet and outside the facility on an LED screen facing the highway. Brett purchased a table for 10 guests in the top tier of sponsors. Brett committed to this kind of financial contribution because he believes strongly in supporting local organizations in their advocacy to fix and improve community issues.
