This Week with Brett: Community Events, Candidate Forums, County Fairs, and Final Days Before the Primary Election

On July 10, Brett attended the Trey Taylor concert, where he enjoyed great music and connected with local voters in a lively community setting. Events like these are about more than entertainment. They are a chance to spend time with the people who make our communities strong, hear what matters to them, and celebrate the shared traditions that bring Missourians together.

Also that weekend, Brett visited the Saline County Fair, walking the fairgrounds, meeting families, and supporting the local agricultural youth exhibits. Missouri agriculture is part of our state identity. Brett believes our farmers, ranchers, and agricultural families deserve leaders who understand their work, respect their way of life, and fight for policies that help rural communities thrive.

On July 16, Brett joined the Moniteau County Republican Club Picnic, where he shared conservative values and discussed the popular key issues of his campaign over a community meal. These conversations are at the heart of the campaign. Brett is running to represent the people of Missouri’s Fifth District by listening first, showing up consistently, and turning the concerns he hears from voters into serious plans for action.

On July 18, Brett participated in a joint Meet the Candidates event with Howard, Cooper, and Moniteau counties. These candidate forums give voters an important opportunity to compare experience, preparation, and vision. Brett was grateful for the chance to speak directly with voters, answer thoughtful questions, and make the case for why Missouri’s Fifth District needs new energy, practical solutions, and a representative prepared to do the work that matters most to the people of the Fifth District.

That same day, Brett also spent time with the Howard County Republican community, speaking with local residents about community goals, local challenges, and the issues shaping the future of Missouri families. From rural hospitals and veterans’ care to housing, agriculture, small business growth, and economic opportunity, Brett’s campaign is focused on policies that help Missourians build a better future where they live.

On July 29, Brett participated in the Warrensburg Chamber Forum, a formal Q&A focused on economic growth and the needs of local businesses. Brett believes small businesses are the backbone of Missouri communities. When local businesses can grow, hire, invest, and serve their neighbors, entire communities become stronger.

As Election Day approaches, Brett is deeply grateful to everyone who has welcomed him, asked questions, shared concerns, volunteered, donated, hosted events, offered encouragement, and helped carry this campaign forward. This campaign has always been about more than the candidate. It’s about the families, workers, veterans, farmers, entrepreneurs, and communities of Missouri’s Fifth District.
